Mooring Analysis is an essential part of the compatibility process, particularly in the LNG sector. TTI conducts 100’s of compatibility studies for terminals worldwide for many of the major ship operators and have a sound understanding of the standards required for ensuring vessel clearance.
Ship-to-Ship / LNG Bunkering - Cargo transfer between vessels has grown rapidly in recent years, in large by new Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) Terminals and bunkering. Some STS operations involve complex mooring systems such as spread moorings, turrets, tower yokes, at anchor or underway. Optimoor has the capabilities and has been proven and benchmarked for all these types of mooring systems that are in operation today.
Optimoor compatibility studies can range from static (wind and current), ship-to-ship, wave response and time domain analysis utilising the new Optimoor 3D
